Disability Case Review

Disability Case Review involves a consultant reviewing medical reports and other documents to prepare opinions and recommendations about your case.  Reporting is focused on the case questions you supply.

Beyond a basic review of records, a consultant will look for medical and psychiatric facts that may have been overlooked.   Mental health conditions can be caused by physical injury or other medical problems. Likewise, many medical conditions have psychiatric origins.

Connections between medical and mental health conditions are often overlooked or incorrectly attributed to unrelated causes.  In a case review the consultant will systematically look for such connections.  There will be suggestions given on how these may be properly documented in medically acceptable terms.

Using verifiable case facts the case review seeks to show a cause and effect relationships to an acceptable degree of medical certainty.  If these findings are properly recorded from the beginning any benefits determination process can progress without undue interruption.
