CONSULTANTS & ADVISORS
A Consultant is a medical or mental health professional who collaborates with you on your case. An Advisor is a specialist who collaborates with your Consultant on your behalf. Consultants and Advisors make up the TroopHealth team that works on each case.
Each consultant or advisor is either licensed, certified or a board registered associate in their respective healthcare discipline.
The following specialties are currently represented among our consultants and advisors (alphabetically):
- Clinical Neuropsychology
- Clinical Nursing
- Clinical Psychology
- Clinical Social Work
- Disability Law
- Family Practice Medicine
- Marriage and Family Therapy
- Neurology
- Psychiatry
In addition, each TroopHealth practitioner is:
- a service connected disabled veteran
- a family member of a disabled veteran or
- a healthcare provider serving veterans
The process of providing services proceeds as follows:
- Cases are reviewed by the managing consultant and assigned based on availability and specialty.
- A primary consultant is assigned–with your approval–to collaborate with you on all aspects of your case.
- Each consultant also collaborates with outside specialists as needed.
- In this way a thorough review of each case is efficiently accomplished.
